Allan Block® Wins Two Segmental Retaining Wall Categories at HNA 2014
Minneapolis, November 4, 2014 – Allan Block has recently been awarded the HNA’s Hardscape Project Award for segmental retaining walls for both the commercial and residential category. The award was given out at the Hardscape North America (HNA) breakfast banquet on October 24th, 2014 and was award by the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI) with the Brick Industry Association and the National Concrete Masonry Association (NCMA).
DePauw University: Greencastle, Indiana (commercial)
- Revitalization of the appearance and functionality of the campus buildings and grounds. One portion of this revitalization plan focused on the addition of quality competition surfaces and the construction of a multi-sport stadium as well as practice fields for soccer, lacrosse and field hockey.
Yates Project: Westerville, Ohio (residential)
- Located on a busy golf course, the homeowner wanted a space that could provide some privacy. The design included two large patios areas.The upper level would walk out from kitchen, while lower sunken area was created to give a private entertaining space.
