Wall Settings - Grouted Connection
Allan Block is designed with hollow cores to allow for placement of gravel to form a Rock-Lock connection with the geogrid. Under extreme loading or very high seismic conditions, a mechanical connection can be formed by grouting the cores solid, encapsulating the grid in the grout. Based on design, this is a very uncommon requirement.
- The Designer can choose to allow Editable Connection by toggling the button.
- On the sections screen click the Grouted Button. Click on the course that you want to grout.
- The graphic changes to show the grouted course.
Adding a grouted connection to a course changes the calculations for connection. The connection capacity will now use the LTADS of the grid as opposed to tested connection strength.
